In the 2nd of the 3 class fall series in Whittier, NC, we'll look at preparing for the winter and various ailments that come along with it. This is a perfect time for making tree medicine, as the temperatures drop and the energy of the trees travels downward.
Some trees we'll learn and make medicine from include spicebush, sassafras, wild cherry, birch, willow, and witch hazel, along with some dried leaves and wild mushrooms.
Learn from Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians tribal members along with Botanist & Herbalist, Abby Artemisia.
Lunch will be served with traditional Cherokee/wild foods, and some lodging options are available (in dropdown menu).
