Wild Edible & Herbal Appalachian Walkabout (at Women's Wilderness Workshops)
This will be recorded and sent to you afterward.
Appalachia is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, with so much to offer in the way of food, medicine, and, of course, beauty. Abby, a botanist, herbalist, and forager, will take you on a virtual adventure into the forest and open spaces to see what free foods and herbs surround us, how we recognize, safely and ethically harvest them, and how to preserve them. Get an introduction to basic botany to demystify plant identification and learn more about these plants as food and medicine.
